Trip Overview

The world renowned Annapurna Circuit Trek is Nepal’s most iconic trek. This trek offers a wide variety of scenery and landscape with superb views of the Annapurna Range and Dhaulagiri. You will encounter an amazing variety of landscapes, from sub-tropical to alpine and semi-arid similar to that experienced on the Tibetan Plateau. Hindu communities can be found at lower levels but further along the trek at higher altitudes, Tibetan Buddhism predominates. You will be accommodated in teahouses in villages along the way and have the opportunity to experience these fascinating cultures.

Highlights include the high trail through Upper Pissang to  Ghyaru and Ngawal to Braga and its ancient Gompa. Before arriving at Manang you will experience amazing views of Annapurna II and IV.  A rest stop of two nights here allows you to acclimatise to the ever increasing altitude. Manang is the largest village on the circuit and caters well for trekkers with a good range of teahouses, restaurants, cafes and even a bakery. From here you will have excellent views over Gangapurna and Annapurna III.  The climax of the trek is crossing the iconic Thorong La Pass (5416m) followed by a steep descent of 1700m to the Buddhist and Hindu pilgrimage site of Muktinath. The final day of the trek descends to Kagbeni an ancient village on the Kali Gandaki River and the access gateway to Upper Mustang.

The trek starts at Kathmandu and finishes in Pokhara. To keep cost as low as possible, we offer the flexibility for you to arrange your own transport to the start and from end of the trek if you wish. Alternatively, we are happy to arrange all connections within Nepal as well as accommodation in Kathmandu and Pokhara if required.
