Trip Overview

The Annapurna Royal Trek is a good option for inexperienced trekkers or those with limited time. The Royal Trek is so named because Prince Charles trekked this route during a royal visit to Nepal in 1980. This trek provides the opportunity for unique cultural experiences with a diverse mix of local people as well as witnessing the spectacular scenery of the Annapurna Ranges.

The trek begins in the lakeside city of Pokhara. We take a morning drive to Bijayapur Khola to begin our trek to Kalikasthan where we spend the night. The following morning we trek along a ridge through Gurung villages while enjoying stunning views of the Annapurnas, Machapuchhre (Fishtail) and the Langtang Mountain. We spend the next two nights at teahouses in the interesting villages of Syaklung and Chisapani where we can experience the fascinating cultures and traditional lifestyles of the local people.

This is an excellent trek for those seeking a glimpse of the great scenery and unique culture that Nepal has to offer. It is also suitable for families with children.

The trek starts and finishes in Pokhara. To keep cost as low as possible, we offer the flexibility for you to arrange your own transport to the start and from end of the trek if you wish. Alternatively, we are happy to arrange all connections within Nepal as well as accommodation in Kathmandu and Pokhara if required.
