The Ghandruk Cultural Trek is designed for trekkers with limited time available and seeking a relatively easy trek that will offer a glimpse into some of the spectacular scenery and unique culture that Neapal has to offer. This trek offers some stunning close up views of Annapurna South (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) (6993m) and Dhaulagiri (8172m).
We start with a drive from Pokhara to Nayapul where the trek begins. We follow the Modi Khola Gorge before trail climbs through hillside villages till we reach the fabulous Gurung village of Ghandruk where we spend the first night of our trek. From here, the views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks are stunning.
From Ghandruk we trek down and cross a suspension bridge over the Modi Khola then steeply uphill to Landruk where we get more excellent views. From here we trek high above the Modi Khola through beautiful villages to Pothana where we spend the night before trekking to Phedi where we catch our ride back to Pokhara.
This is an excellent trek for those with limited time but seeking a glimpse of the great scenery and unique culture that Nepal has to offer. It is also suitable for families with children.
The trek starts and finishes in Pokhara. To keep cost as low as possible, we offer the flexibility for you to arrange your own transport to the start and from end of the trek if you wish. Alternatively, we are happy to arrange all connections within Nepal as well as accommodation in Kathmandu and Pokhara if required.
